I might be driving with my baby & a few other family members from Vegas to L.A. and am very concerned about it (ie. what if the car breaks down in the middle of desert). Is it better to do this drive in the winter? Any tips would be extremely helpful. If it’s too complicated/unsafe I’ll either take a bus or plane.
I’ll be most likely renting a car so hopefully the rental company will check it over beforehand

I tried Craigs list but those cars are really expensive and am looking for another site where I can find something within my price range.
Police impound cars would be good but I don’t know how to find them.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
